At Goethe-School there is a lot of sport. We have lots of clubs, which take part in competitions. A successful group is an athletic team, whose members change every year. We take part in the “Stadtwaldfest”, a competition in Essen for athletic teams at schools.
There are two days on which the schools can take part in the competitions. One day the school has to form groups of four pupils, who have to compete in three different categories: sprints, long jump and shotput. The other day the finals and relays take place. The relays consist of four to thirty pupils. This year our athletic team won nearly everything, which makes us proud and raises anticipations for next year.
There are a lot of other sport clubs at Goethe-School. For example a hockey or a volleyball club. Everyone who wants to join is welcome there and can learn a sport very well. The teachers of Goethe-School will accept a member and will train you every week.
